When the Association found itself having to choose a name for the Award it intended to establish, it immediately thought of something that would allow it to define a parameter, a measure of the commitment that some people are able to inject into their daily actions, naturally and spontaneously, in the service of the well-being and progress of Civil Society so that every Person can fully enjoy Life.
Here, precisely, is Life: the good par excellence, which can nevertheless remain an abstract concept if it is not filled with content, with those elements that characterize it and constitute its essential aspects: Inviolable Human Rights.
We live in difficult times. Having overcome the acute and critical phase of the pandemic, the world, driven by constructive optimism, was preparing to rise again. But the sad events we all know are once again pushing it into uncertainty and precariousness, highlighting how necessary everyone's commitment is to ensure well-being and progress are, everywhere, for everyone.
The degree of protection and safeguarding of the Inviolable Rights of the Person, necessary to achieve that well-being, expresses the level of civilization of a country. The awarding of the Value Prize is an expression of this vision, and the material representation that symbolizes it, Leonardo's Aerial Screw, epitomizes it.
On the occasion of the Association's 25th anniversary, the Valore Award will be dedicated to Tradition, Innovation, and Security, in the belief that a country's growth is directly proportional to its underlying innovation, while always respecting tradition and security.
